The interview

When it comes to the interview stage of your recruitment process, it is not only important to ensure that you know what you are looking for in an ideal candidate, but it is also crucial to ensure you are running an effective process. Have you considered using an assessment centre? Do your candidates appear to be nervous in the interview? We have the answers to all your interview queries and some unusual top tips about the interview process.

We speak to candidates every day. We know what they are looking for, what drives them, and how they feel about going into an interview for a new role. The shortlist of candidates you choose to interview have been identified as potential employees based on their skills and the experience listed on their CV. The fact is that not everyone will be confident when entering an interview scenario, so it can be difficult for these professionals to sell themselves as the right person for the role. Quite often a candidate’s nerves get in the way which can distract you from the true value that an applicant may be able to bring to your business. With this in mind, it serves your best interest to ensure that they feel relaxed and are able to perform at their best. This is just one area of the interview where we can offer our expertise.

The interview process also requires you to prepare well-thought questions to explore the candidates’ abilities and manage a process of assessing each professional you meet with to determine the best fit.

If you’re in need of some guidance on how to run an effective and successful interview process, we have a series of specialist advice content for you to utilise. In addition to this, Page Personnel consultants are experts in the sector they recruit in, so we can offer bespoke advice to best suit your hiring needs. If required, we can also run first-round interviews on your behalf.

Explore our interview tips today to equip you with the knowledge to get the most out of your processes.
