Why did you join PageGroup?

I joined PageGroup for a career. When I graduated I was presented with a number of graduate opportunities and ultimately chose to join PageGroup as the majority of the directorship had developed organically, and this really appealed to me. Along with this, I bought into the people that I met with initially and I could see myself working with them. Culture is a huge factor for me and is a staple in the reasons I come to work every day.

Tell us about your PageGroup career so far?

Having joined in 2011, I’ve progressed fairly quickly to reach my current position. This has involved moving markets, managing different disciplines and teams, as well as hitting a number of “high flyers”. I’ve always found that you get out what you put in. I have also been fortunate to be surrounded by and work with highly motivated, diverse, career-driven people, which has pushed me to learn more and perform better.

What’s your next career goal?

My next goal is to become an operating director and broaden my experiences further – both through learning new markets, new skills, and meeting new people!

What do you find most rewarding about the role?

I’m driven by people and success. So, seeing the people that I work with succeed really pushes me to drive forward.  I’m of the ilk that if you can get the collective to push forward, it can only drive you forward too!

What would your advice be to anyone looking to join us?

A career in recruitment can be challenging, so do some research into what you might expect in the role. If you have the right motivations and the right drive, you will succeed. The interview process may be formal, but this is a people-driven business – make sure you show your personality!
