Page Personnel are currently recruiting a Transactional Finance Supervisor on behalf of a Global, award winning service provider based in Wakefield.

Job Description

As a Transactional Finance Supervisor you will be responsible for, however not limited to; overseeing all day-to-day transactional finance-related functions including purchase ledger, sales ledger and cash book, ensuring all ledgers are maintained and clean, managing a team of 6 transactional finance employees with all relevant HR duties including reviews and 1-2-1s, performance management, holiday approval and training, overseeing all purchase ledger functions, all sales ledger functions, including credit control and cash book functions. Providing hands on support when required, i.e. during employee annual leave and periods of sickness, ensuring all staff expenses are valid and in line with organisation procedures, creating and processing of regular payment runs to suppliers, supporting the team with insurance claims where necessary, contributing towards the development of finance team procedures and the systems used, assisting with audit queries at year-end, working with the team to ensure we offer the best service to internal and external customers/stakeholders, including our staff in our network of stores nationwide, supporting the Finance Director and Management Accountant and any other duties as required by the Finance Director.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have;

  • A good working knowledge of purchase and sales ledger;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Management/supervisory experience in a finance-related role;
  • Good computer literacy;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software, in particular Excel;
  • Able to multitask and work in a fast paced ever changing environment;
  • Highly organised to achieve the objectives in a fast-paced business;

What's on Offer

Salary is ranging £27,000 - £34,000 depending on your level of experience
20 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)
