My client is a manufacturing businesses based near Lenton in Nottingham.

Job Description

You will be working as part of a team of c. 13 in finance, and will be reporting into the Head of Finance, who will be your main mentor. The team will initially train you to perform duties in purchase ledger and sales ledger. However, the role does not end there, as in the foreseeable, you will have the opportunity to support with management accounts, improving finance processes, financial accounts and analysis. Once you have received all of the necessary training on purchase ledger and sales ledger, your duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Matching, batching and coding purchase invoices onto the system
  • Raising sales invoices
  • Making payments
  • Obtaining POs
  • Liasing with non-finance stakehodlers in the business
  • Dealing with suppliers' over the email and telephone
  • Raising sales invoices
  • Dealing with customers' invoice queries
  • Reconciling statements

The Successful Applicant

To apply for this role, you do not need experience of working in finance, but you must:

  • Have a genuine interest to work in finance
  • Have good excel skills
  • have strong oral communication skills
  • Be keen to learn and develop your experience
