About Our Client
Page Personnel have partnered with a Housing Association in Wakefield in the recruitment of a Support Worker to join their expanding team. You will be supporting and caring for people that have experienced homelessness, their one person approach involves listening and building strong relationships with each client to get them back on track.
Key responsibilities: support tenants with benefit claims and housing applications, support the process of management of tenancy related issues such as new tenancy sign up's, tenancy warnings, end tenancy and repairs under the direction of your line manager, develop open, honest, supportive and professional relationships with people who use our services and maintain confidentiality, contribute to the protection of individuals from the risk of abuse and harm to self, to maintain accurate records as required by policies and procedures, proactively contributing to continuously improving the service by making positive suggestions, providing constructive feedback and assisting in the implementation of agreed new ways of working, provide regular support to tenants in line with there agreed level of support plans and other adhoc duties as required.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate:
Must have a valid driving license, own vehicle and be willing to travel locally.
Previous experience of working in a similar role within the Health and Social Care Sector.
Previous experience of working in a similar role with people who have experienced complex needs including addiction and mental health, within the Health and Social Care Sector.
Excellent organisational skills and adaptable working in a fast-paced environment
Confident using own initiative to respond to situations and problem solve
