Job Description

As Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk you will be working as part of a team of 4 in purchase ledger and will be reporting into the Purchase Ledger Team Leader. Your duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Deputise for the Purchase Ledger Team Leader when required
  • Scanning, inputting and posting invoices
  • Checking the transactions and investigating any anomalies
  • Dealing with supplier payment queries
  • Reconciling purchase ledger, supplier statement and pro-forma invoices
  • Reconciling and recharging costs to branches
  • Liaising with and build relationships with suppliers
  • Monitoring incoming emails and distributing invoices
  • Preparing weekly trade balance reports
  • Reconciling direct debit payments
  • opening new supplier accounts

The Successful Applicant

To apply for this position you must:

  • Have a proven track record of working in purchase ledger
  • Have the ability to effectively communicate and build relationships both internally and externally
  • Have experience of using Excel
