Our client is an exciting and ever-growing hospitality, leisure and sport business based in Bedford. The business holds a fun and energetic environment therefore, the client is seeking a senior payroll specialist who is ready to take on a challenge in a busy and effective payroll department.

Job Description

  • The Senior Payroll Specialist with undertake all aspects of payroll- inputting data, payroll reconciliation, HMRC and pension submissions
  • Payroll guidance and support to employees
  • Ensure starters and leavers are processed
  • Monthly and annual submissions and payments to HMRC
  • Maintain confidentiality, fully GDPR compliant

The Successful Applicant

  • 5 years experience as a payroll professional - desirable but not essential
  • The Senior Payroll Specialist will have the ambition to progress in their payroll career- the company is rabidly expanding and has seen exponential growth in the last few years so the role has lots of progression
  • Knowledge of RTI and HMRC submissions
  • Basic knowledge of benefits and tax
  • Knowledge of current employment laws
  • Experience in pension deductions, dealing with pension providers
