About Our Client

Our client is a care business who have seen rapid growth in the past 12 months. They are based in Southampton and do require travel to their offices but do offer flexible working after the probation period.

Job Description

As the Purchase Ledger Clerk you will be responsible for:

  • Ensure purchase invoices are processed promptly and accurately
  • Processing orders received
  • Obtain appropriate authorisation of invoices
  • Work as first point of contact for payment related quires from supplier or internal teams, respond promptly to correspondence (telephone calls, e-mails, letters)
  • Preparing weekly supplier payment runs and upload to the bank after review by the relevant finance members
  • Reconcile supplier balances with supplier statements and resolving any issues
  • Rase purchase orders
  • You will also provide admin support as requested and other ad-hoc tasks within the finance team.

The Successful Applicant

To be successful for the Purchase Ledger Clerk role, you must:

  • Have excellent excel skills including v-look up's and pivot tables
  • Attention to detail is critical
  • Ability to think outside the box and suggest solutions is essential
  • Ability to prioritise and work towards multiple deadlines at any one time
