Our client are a highly acquisitive, private equity backed company, that is growing at a rapid pace. They're currently recruiting for a (Power BI) Business Data Analyst to join the team in Woking, Surrey

Job Description

As the (Power BI) Business Data Analyst based in Woking, Surrey you will be responsible for

  • Responsible in conjunction with the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis to provide business information for financial and operational understanding of performance and to support decision making.
  • Will use tools such as Power BI to standardise and optimise management information reporting flows, frequency, and efficiency.
  • Significant focus on developing new reports, as well as maintaining the production of regular, reliable reports and analysis from complex data sets.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for additional analysis to support business development and growth.
  • Play key role in review of business data structures and frameworks, as part of transforming the data and Management Information provision for the business
  • Data preparation, analysis, and production to support cyclical and ad-hoc management and operational reporting.
  • Develop, expand, and maintain the current suite of dashboards and interactive reports in Power BI.
  • Prepare/analyse data for and produce monthly KPI reporting
  • Support delivery of regular and ad-hoc reporting to key stakeholders in a timely and effective manner.
  • Ensure reports are accurate and current.
  • Take an active role in the development of the business' systems architecture with regards to MI, expanding use of Power BI.
  • Deputise for the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis when required.
  • Share 'best practice' and successes with colleagues.

The Successful Applicant

  • Previous experience in a similar position, demonstrating experience of analysing requirements and developing reports and data frameworks.
  • Knowledge of tools and techniques such as SQL data connections and DAX to automate, as far as possible, the gathering, processing, and presentation of reports in systems, with specific experience of Power BI.
  • Expert in Power BI report development and data visualisation.
  • Ability to perform API integrations.
  • Ability to adhere to timescales whilst ensuring all data and reports are accurate, current, complete, and consistent.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both financial and less-financial audiences of all levels within the company
