About Our Client
This temporary Payroll Specialist position is working for a school in the Langley area.
Job Description
This temporary Payroll Specialist position will involve the following responsibilities:
- To manage the end to end process of the payroll within deadlines on a monthly basis, this will include starters/leavers and variations to pay
- Compile accurate payroll reports to meet internal and statutory obligations
- To keep accurate records relating to Tax, National Insurance, SSP, SMP
- To prepare all BACS documents for the Finance Manager to approve
- To assist with internal control and validation procedures as set up by Management
- To ensure all payroll and pension changes are communicated to staff in a timely manner
- Administer and manage all day to day activities for Local Government and Teachers pensions
- Processing member & scheme events within targets ensuring it complies with internal standards and scheme and legislative rules
- Keep up to date with all pension and Tax laws
- Assist with any ad hoc projects as and when required
- To prepare year end returns for PAYE and Pensions
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate for this temporary Payroll Specialist position will need to have the following skills:
- Sage experience is essential
- Demonstrate payroll processing experience
- Demonstrate pension administration experience
- Excellent Communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Numerical ability and data entry skills
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Understanding of payroll and pension legislation processes
- Customer service focus
- Excel skills
- Proven Time Management skills
