About Our Client

My client is a large organisation within Public Sector and Government based in Leicester seeking a Payroll Officer

Job Description

As a Payroll Officer you will oversee, process and manage all aspects of the monthly payroll function including:

  • Completing Weekly and Monthly payment runs
  • Processing SSP, SMP and SPP
  • Dealing with payroll queries
  • Producing relevant forms (eg p45)
  • Assisting with Pensions (LGPS)
  • Dealing with complex/sensitive information
  • Adding starter and leaver information
  • Completing manual calculations

The Successful Applicant

The successful Payroll Officer will:

Have a strong understanding of maintaining payroll systems and solving payroll problems

Ideally have experience within a Payroll Officer position

Ideally have experience of working in interim roles

Have excellent numerical skills and attention to detail and communication skills

Have a relevant Payroll qualification
