About Our Client
Having recently gone through a merger, this growing business has a really good reputation in the industry and have opened a vacancy for a Payroll Manager to join in a really challenging but rewarding role.
Job Description
You will report directly into the Head of HR and be responsible for:
- Managing a payroll team of 5
- Responsible for overseeing 6 different payrolls both weekly and monthly
- Supporting the team with end to end processing including new starters/leavers, deductions, statutory payments, year end, production of reports and ensuring all payroll deadlines are met
- RTI/auto-enrolment as necessary and uploading data to pension providers
- Liaising with HMRC
- Sending BACS payments
- General payroll administration
- Reviewing and monitoring processes and quality control
- Projects such as system harmonisation, service improvements etc
The Successful Applicant
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience working in a similar Payroll Manager role previously
- Good payroll systems experience and experience of managing multiple payrolls
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of payroll legislation
- Continuous improvement mindset where you will assess processes and look to improve
- CIPP qualified/part qualified is desirable
