Job Description

This is a senior level Payroll position which requires accuracy, efficiency and an ability to advise on all stages of the payroll process.

  • Full responsibility for the 4 payrolls (UK and overseas)
  • Continue to develop payroll system functionality following the recent transition
  • Lead work to test all system functionality.
  • Close liaison with wider HR teams to ensure all payroll inputs are accurate.
  • Receive approval from senior management for payments when needed.
  • Prepare and execute the payroll through the system including third party BACS solution.
  • Responsible for the provision of Internal/External/SOX Audit information.
  • Process taxes and payment of employee benefits.
  • Deal with all HMRC/pensions monthly/annual submissions and queries.
  • Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and managers.
  • Prepare reports for senior management, finance department etc.

The Successful Applicant

  • Working as a Senior Payroll / Payroll Manager
  • Good knowledge and understanding of payroll and payroll regulations
  • Proven track record as a payroll manager of running all aspects of an inhouse payroll solution
  • Able to work in a demanding and busy environment
  • Happy to work independently and handle processes end to end
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision but be a strong team player
  • Results oriented - Completer/finisher
  • Ability to prioritise
  • Strong organisational skills coupled to an agile mindset
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Payroll Qualification (CIPP or equivalent) - desirable
  • Workday Payroll - desirable
