About Our Client
This RSL believes in designing homes and creating neighbourhoods that everyone can share and enjoy. We have 3350 homes across the country from Newcastle to Cornwall. We are advocates of the Lifetime Homes Standard and provide expert training and consultancy through our Centre for Accessible Environments (CAE) in-house team.
You will play a key role in managing the new maintenance contractors in the region, you will engage on a daily basis with your housing management colleagues, customers and stakeholders to ensure that high performance cost effective repair and maintenance service including;
- To support the delivery of the maintenance service including Repairs, Voids, Planned and Cyclical works.
- To be responsible to the Maintenance Manager for the achievement of key performance targets in the region and for the provision of monitoring reports and action plans in line with the contract management framework.
- To be responsible for the quality and effectiveness of services to the association's tenants, for compliance with policies and procedures and to assist the Maintenance Manager managing contract delivery.
- To deliver a local minor adaptations service, within agreed budgets
The Successful Applicant
You will be an experienced surveyor in the housing sector ideally with a range of experience managing contractors and delivering a great service to customers. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate an understanding and commitment to the RSL's inclusive housing mission.
You will need to demonstrate experience in delivering a repair and maintenance service, diagnosis and costs control and working within a contract management framework in your previous roles.
You will be flexible and agile in your approach, being able to adapt your approach to different circumstances and be able to travel to different locations within your regional area.
You will need strong written and verbal communication skills and represent the RSL when dealing with contractors and customers alike.
The role requires the ability to drive and access to a car. Occasional overnight stays and working outside usual office hours will also be required.

The role is paying a competitive annual salary of £37,000 plus benefits and fuel allowance.
