About Our Client
My client is a fashion retail company well known in the world, most of their collecting are known as high end clothing.
Job Description
Junior credit controller
- Drive the collection of all outstanding monies to ensure monthly targets are met- includes Proforma customer payments.
- Checking and sending out customer invoices
- Coordinating with the Operations department regarding Stock and delivery queries
- Participate in weekly cash collection review and operations team meetings
- Conducting credit checks and setting credit limits for new and existing clients and keep them updated
- Proactive resolutions of customer queries and dispute
- Weekly and monthly accounts receivable reporting to the management
- Customer reconciliations for the accounts receivable ledger
- Completion of daily bank reconciliations & monthly invoice discounting reconciliations
- Preparation and sending customer account statements- ensure customer accounts are reconciled and up to date.
- Maintain accurate records within the customer database
- Preparation of other ad-hoc report
The Successful Applicant
- 1-2 years' relevant experience in credit control- Ideally in Fashion/ Clothing industry
- Flexible and can adapt to the different needs of customers- Include Majors, International and Independents.
- Ideally you will have experience or working within multi-national environment with exposure to finance outside of Credit Control and displaying analytical prowess
- Strong, culturally fit and confident communicator who can develop the ability to take over full ownership of Credit Control.
- Ability to build strong customer relations with a firm but diplomatic approach
- Aptitude for IT and accounting systems
- Good working knowledge of Excel- (V-lookups, Pivot Tables, IFs)
What's on Offer
Successful candidate will be paid £11 to £13 an hour
