The client are a global financial services firm (Asset Management) that are based in South West London (Victoria). They are looking for a progressive Financial Accountant to join their Europe team and help manage the monthly, quarterly and yearly close alongside the Financial Controller. The successful candidate will be working very closely with a number of the European entities/locations and will act as the bridge between them and the central finance team.

About Our Client

The client are a global asset management company that own, manage and develop a number of locations across the world. This role is part of the European team and the successful Financial Accountant will be business partnering with 18 different locations across the region. The role reports directly into the Financial Controller and they will be the main POC for the 18 locations within the central finance function as well as being a second in command for the regional FC. There is a wealth of growth in the role and they are looking for an ACCA/CIMA/ACA finalist to join.

Job Description

The successful Financial Accountant will be doing the:

  • Business Partnering with the 18 locations across Europe
  • Weekly KPI reporting
  • Supporting the Regional Financial Controller with the production of the consolidated management accounts/reports
  • Cashflow forecasting and CAPEX submissions
  • Monthly financial reporting
  • Help improve various processes across the region and team
  • Assist with the budgeting an forecasting
  • review the statutory account submissions
  • Approval of journal, bank payment and transfer of funds
  • Ad hoc analysis

The Successful Applicant

The succeassful Financial Accountant will:

  • Have 3+ years of experience in a similar role (Assistant Management/Financial Accountant role)
  • MUST be studying towards the ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualification (will also consider candidates that are Qualified By Experience)
  • Strong business partnering, financial reporting and group consolidation experience
  • Excellent accounting knowledge
  • Prior working knowledge of the finance system Navision (desirable, not essential)
  • Have strong Excel skills
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to speak another European language (desirable, not essential)
