Financial Accountant

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for:

• Carrying out core finance processes, including but not limited to the calculation of depreciation and interest, preparation of accrued and deferred income and expenses, posting journals, intercompany accounts and reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations and VAT returns
• Maintaining the Fixed Assets Register
• Timely customer invoicing and debt collection
• Preparing month end working papers, liaising with the wider finance team to ensure accurate representation of records
• Preparing year end working papers, working with external accountants to resolve queries and produce the statutory accounts
• Assisting the Finance Manager with external audits
• Preparation and filing of dormant accounts
• Management and tracking of customer estimates and supplier purchase orders
• Assisting the Finance Manager with tax reporting and payments (Including PSA)
• Developing finance processes
• Monitoring financial controls
• Preparing monthly financial statements
• Preparing and provide Management Reporting to wider finance team
• Producing ad-hoc reports to support business projects and initiatives
• Ad hoc projects and requests as and when they arise
