As the biggest group of education providers in the South West, our client is committed to offering a high-quality educational experience to all children and young people. The are looking for a Finance Assistant to join, grow and develop in their Bristol team.

Job Description

The duties and responsibilities for this role include -

  • ensure invoices are available to pay within the agreed terms
  • Processing purchase order requests within the finance system, ensuring that they are appropriately authorised and coded
  • Receive and prepare all income for banking. Carry out the banking and input control journal
  • Process staff expenses in the payroll and accounting system in line with internal policy and HMRC regulations
  • Process supply and overtime claims in the payroll system
  • Raise debtor invoices in the accounting system
  • Monitoring and resolution of aged debtors, supporting the debt collection process in a timely manner by producing reports and escalating debt issues when necessary

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate for the Finance Assistant will have -

  • Practical experience of working within a Finance environment
  • Team player, guiding and working towards the aims of the department
  • Strong organisation, prioritisation and time management skills
  • Good administration skills and experience
