Our client the UK Market leader in their Industry are currently recruiting for an FP&A Analyst to join the team due to growth. The office is based in Farnham, Surrey and the client offer a hybrid working pattern.

Job Description

Reporting to the CFO , this role will assist in providing commercial finance support to the company through business insights and analytical support. In addition to some weekly/monthly commercial reporting and ad hoc analysis, the person will assist with the annual budget and the quarterly re-forecasting process.

This role involves a broad remit to support the business commercially. An ability to quickly analyse data and make actionable recommendations is important for this role. This will give the candidate the opportunity to interact with the Executive team on a regular basis, as we develop a true partnership approachAs the FP&A Analyst in Farnham, Surrey you will be responsible for:

  • Assist in the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes. Also assist with completion of longer term plans to support debt and equity financing
  • Understand trends in customer behaviour Key focus on volume versus yield, whilst understanding capacity. Particular focus on day of the week, and key seasonal factors.
  • Understand full complexity of the business and seek to improve profitability in key cost areas such as wage control and other key controllable cost lines
  • Produce and collate weekly sales commentary to stay on top of performance and key drivers (both covers and spend)
  • Produce and collate Daily sales commentary and assist with one off analysis of key calendar dates e.g. comparing key holiday periods
  • Support key strategic initiatives with robust analysis, ensuring timely understanding of project/ investment ROCE and recommendations for improvement
  • Business partner to the commercial teams (sales, marketing, procurement and operations), delivering clarity and consistency to commercial decision making
  • Assist in supporting the development of Power BI and automation of standard reporting
  • Assist with the delivery of monthly commercial reporting
  • Provide commercial insight into the monthly board packs
  • Assist with the tracking of build costs for new sites

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Ideally CIMA / ACCA part qualified but qualified by experience also considered
  • Understanding of multisite business and communicating performance to variance levels desirable but not essential
  • Experience with Power BI desirable but not essential
  • Experience working in small teams with an ability to be flexible and hands on
