My client is a leading property firm based in Edinburgh.
Job Description
This role reports directly to the Director for Property Management Accounting in Edinburgh. It is a contract role to complete income reconciliations on our Voyager system using the general ledger to establish the correct income deferrals for our Real Estate Management clients following a system migration and change in protocols.Main Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- To complete reconciliations using the General Ledger and in house reporting pack to ensure that income recognised in the Income Statement and in the Balance sheet have been correctly accounted for
- To ensure that the income expected is correctly recognised within the in House reporting pack.
The Successful Applicant
- Background of working in a busy fast paced finance function.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles for example double entry, accruals and prepayments.
- Ability to manage and prioritise accordingly, and deal with high volumes of work.
- Flexibility and commitment to completing the task in hand.
- Attention to detail skills to submit reports and reconciliations for review.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a variety of stakeholders.
- Advanced Microsoft knowledge
- Positive attitude
- Self-motivated to maintain output and able to work from home at times
