Job Description

PLEASE NOTE ROLE IS TEMPORARY FOR AN IMMEDIATE START.

Key responsibilities for the Business Support Officer Band 5 role:

The Business Support Officer will provide general administrative support to the programme, including providing support to the Independent Chair, Programme Director and Programme/project Managers. This includes:

  • The coordination and set up of meetings across multiple stakeholders / organisations and multiple workstreams /change programmes
  • Agenda setting, distribution of relevant papers and minute taking
  • Maintaining and following up action logs
  • Coordinating inputs into programme reporting (e.g. highlight reports)
  • Coordinating information for presentations and communications as required
  • Acting as a point of contact for questions/information requests, ensuring these are directed to the most appropriate member of the team
  • Delivering agreed work-plan to high standard
  • Undertaking mandatory training as required

The Successful Applicant

PLEASE NOTE ROLE IS TEMPORARY FOR AN IMMEDIATE START.

The successful candidate for the Business Support Officer Band 5 role will have:

  • Previous experience of providing corporate and business support
  • An understanding of current issues affecting health and care
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures, including minute taking, action logs etc
  • Understanding of project management tools / approaches
  • Experience of working in a small team / matrix working
  • Experience of setting up and maintaining processes within a team
  • Experience of managing conflicting demands
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and manage own workload
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues
  • Ability to effectively and appropriately convey messages to a range of audiences
  • Ability to produce comprehensive reports, data and letters
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, and ability to tailor approach to stakeholders as appropriate
  • Ability to effectively manage small time limited projects
  • High standard of skills on Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, MS Teams)
  • Well-organised and ability to work to deadlines
  • Problem solving skills
  • Discretion and integrity to deal appropriately with strictly confidential information
  • Knowledge and understanding of cultural awareness, equal opportunities and disabilities
  • Flexibility - ability to cope with changing demands

What's on Offer

This is a temporary, Business Support Officer Band 5 role, based in South East London with hybrid working available. The role is for an immediate start until the end of March.
