About Our Client
My client is a well known organisation based in Edinburgh City Centre.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring bank reconciliations are completed on a monthly basis and differences are followed up and resolved in a timely manner
- Management of the fixed asset register, fixed asset balance sheet accounts and related processes, including additions and disposals, depreciation, asset tagging and physical verification
- Management of the corporate card scheme, ensuring all expenditure is accounted for correctly, appropriately approved and reconciled to the relevant balance sheet codes
- Responsible for key month end processes:
- importing data from and to financial systems
- balance sheet reconciliations
- reporting and analysis
- posting journals
- Maintaining the general ledger, including setting up new cost centres where relevant
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of the processes, internal controls and performance of the finance function
- Provide cover for finance team colleagues where necessary
- Other general finance administration where required
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have a solid background within finance and good knowledge of:
- Sage and Microsoft
- Bank reconciliations
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Understanding of the operation of the fixed asset register
- Journals
