Job Description

The successful Accounts Payable Lead - PLC will be responsible for:

  • Daily processing of supplier invoices onto the ledger
  • Twice-monthly preparation of supplier invoices for payments, including raising payment runs in the company's bank account
  • Raising ad hoc payments upon request in the company's bank account
  • Allocation of supplier payments on the ledger
  • Assist with setting up new suppliers including verifying supplier details in line with company policy
  • Maintain supplier account records and report on all detail changes prior to each payment run
  • Internal chase missing Purchase Orders to match invoices
  • Monthly processing of company credit card transactions
  • Engagement with the prepayments process, providing data for the monthly journal
  • Engagement with the accruals process, providing data for the monthly journal
  • Reconciliation of direct debits accounts to supplier's ledgers to obtain any missing invoices
  • Monthly reconciliation of individual supplier accounts
  • Review, suggest improvements and assist in the implementation of improvements to the processes and controls around all aspects of accounts payable
  • Any other duties as required by management for the smooth and efficient operation of the department

The Successful Applicant

The successful Accounts Payable Lead - PLC will have:

* Strong communication skills (written & verbal) and ability to form successful working relationships
* Excellent organisation & planning skills with the ability to work to strict deadlines while maintaining the quality and accuracy of the work
* Previous experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk essential
* Work collaboratively within a team
* Excellent attention to detail
* Ability to work in an evolving and fast paced environment
* Competent user of Excel and familiar with Windows based products
