Page Personnel is representing a Financial Services Organisation based in Birmingham City Centre.

Job Description

Key responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant role include;

  • Processing Accounts Payable invoices on Sage Intacct
  • Ensuring the approval process is being followed
  • Allocating daily banking against client invoices
  • Managing the Accounts Receivable mailbox: responding to queries etc
  • Approving expenses, credit card transactions & travel bookings in line with policies
  • Reviewing expenses ensuring GL coding & VAT treatment is correct
  • Daily bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts
  • Support with month-end reporting

The Successful Applicant

The successful Accounts Assistant will have;

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to deal with queries
  • Ideally AAT Qualified or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • A team player, who thrives when working as part of a team.
  • Experience using Sage Intacct would be advantageous
  • Good knowledge around VAT treatment of invoices and expenses.
  • Ability to take the initiative and work independently
  • Attention to detail and organisation skills.
