Summer internship
Are you a current university student?
Are you confident and determined?
Can you persuade and influence?
Are you curious about recruitment?
Do you want to gain paid experience in your summer break?
We are able to offer several lucky students the perfect opportunity to find out more about the world of recruitment through an eight week paid summer internship programme. We are ideally looking for penultimate* year students who are confident, determined and keen to find out more.
What will you get out of the paid summer internship?
The summer internship will start mid-June, running until mid-August. It is designed to give you a taster of what a career in recruitment is really like and immerse you in the day to day activities of the role. During the paid eight week period your time will be broken down as follows:
Week one:
- Induction programme to develop your knowledge of the business, build your IT skills and introduce you to the recruitment cycle;
- You will spend four weeks with your team, shadowing consultants and getting involved in the candidate cycle.
Week five:
- Come together with your fellow interns at the mid-point of the internship to review your progress so far;
- You will spend four weeks with your team getting involved in the client cycle.
Week eight:
- 'Graduation' where you will receive constructive feedback from managers and mentors involved in your training.
What happens to the relationship afterwards?
We at Page Personnel know that the summer internship will leave you with a great understanding of the recruitment industry, a feel for the dynamic ethos of our company and leave you wanting to get more involved!
Should you develop a genuine interest in the role and we feel you have demonstrated the right competencies for a successful career in recruitment, we will arrange for you to meet a relevant manager of one of our teams. They will interview you for a place on our highly successful graduate recruitment scheme.
