With extensive responsibilities and a high degree of autonomy, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and commercially minded Accounts Receivable Manager. Reporting to the Head of SSC, the key function of the role is to manage and lead the Allocations and Credit Control departments within Craegmoor SSC. In what is a highly commercial role, your accountabilities will include:
- Overall responsibility for up to 30 indirect reports and management of 3 Supervisors
- Reduction and maintenance of overdue debts and improvement of DSO at Division, Area and Home level
- Manage the Allocations function, continually reviewing for improvement and automation
- Promote and maintain relationships with Funders to ensure credit control standards are adhered to and consistency of processes maintained
- Control the Query Management Process to ensure agreed Service Levels are maintained
- Drive the implementation of processes and new technologies to ensure continued improvement in cost reduction and service levels to successful conclusion
- Development and confirmation of credit policies and procedures
- Strong internal and external customer focus
Who we're looking for
As Accounts Receivable Manager you will be required to have a strong and confident personality and the ability to work as part of a team. You will need to demonstrate the highest levels of internal and external communication and be able to cultivate relationships at all levels including Board level.
Technical skills required include:
- Extensive knowledge of credit control, sales ledger and cashier processes and practices
- Previous experience in an Accounts Receivable Management role
- Ability to demonstrate previous management of a large team
- A strong understanding of how accounts receivable processes fit into the overall process and service delivery
- Previous exposure to private debt collection within sensitive environment proving strong but empathetic approach
- You must have the ability to work on your own initiative and to strict deadlines
