Job Responsibilities
1. To maintain sterling and foreign currency cashbooks on computerised spreadsheets.
2. Posting of cashbook to Management Information System, then reconcile with bank statements and general ledger.
3. Use of electronic banking system for provision of daily balances and fund transfers.
4. Issuing and posting to accounts and reconciliation of sterling and foreign petty cash.
5. Effective cash management on a day to day basis, including placing funds on the money markets and reconciliation of those funds at month end.
6 Maintaining direct debits as well as resolving any queries in connection with the company car leases.
7. Entering figures, posting cash & raising international payments in connection with the inter company netting system.
8. Processing expenses (Sterling/currency)
9. Raising manual cheques
10 Banking of cheques
General
11 To be up-to-date and conversant with the appropriate computer programmes and systems.
12 To provide support and assistance in other accounting activities as required.
13. To ensure that safe working methods and practices are adopted at all times and in accordance with company policy for the safety of the post holder and all others within the working environment.
14 To be responsible for housekeeping, tidiness and general cleanliness of all areas in which the post holder is working.
15. To assist in the training of other staff as required. The above duties and responsibilities are not an exhaustive list and you may be required to undertake any other reasonable duties compatible with your experience and competencies.
