Audit
Head up an audit team on large company audits (under overall control of a
Manager).
a) Supervise junior and semi-senior staff.
b) Liaise with client’s accounts department.
c) Draft potential audit journals.
d) Write notes for partner.
e) Draft report to management.
f) Complete Audit Completion Checklist & Companies Act checklist
g) Carry out audit work which cannot be delegated to junior/semi senior
staff.
- Plan audits of all sizes.
- Preparation of audit documentation utilising Mercia Audit Programmes.
- Preparation of statutory accounts (including consolidated accounts) utilising Sage Accounts Production Advanced.
Taxation
- Capital gains tax computations.
- Corporation tax computations and returns
- Assistance with HMRC enquiries as requested.
Other Duties
- As requested from time to time by more senior staff.
- Prepare budget/cash flow projections.
- Advice on bookkeeping systems/setting up for clients.

You are likely to be qualified with a good public practice background including thorough audit experience.
