- The post holder is responsible for making sure that activity invoiced for is within the correct Flex and Freeze Guidelines issued by the Department of Health.
- The post holder is responsible for informing the Commissioning Accountant of the forecast out turn for each of the areas concerned on a monthly basis in accordance with the Board Reporting timetable.
- The post holder is responsible for verifying any items that are not normally funded – ensuring that correct tariff is charged.
- The post holder will support the Commissioning Manager – Exceptional Funding and Out of Area Treatments on all matters financial.
- The post holder will analyse the invoice supporting documentation (minimum data set) to ensure the rules relating to responsible commissioner are applied Also responsible for making sure the correct tariff has been applied as per payment by results guidance.
- Responsible for following up any queries and notifying providers if guidance not followed.
- Responsible for making sure credit notes are issued for any incorrect charges.
