Payroll Officer

The Finance Department is looking for a Payroll Officer who will be responsible for the day to day processing of the in-house payroll system. They will assist in the maintenance of payroll processes and procedures to meet the operational needs of the organisation.  Liaising with staff, management and external bodies on all payroll aspects such as Tax, National Insurance, Statutory Sick Pay, Maternity Pay and Pensions is a key requirement of this role.  

Qualifications Required:  Up to date knowledge of payroll, pension and relevant employment legislation is essential, as is the ability to interpret and provide advice and support on a variety of payroll matters. 

 

Who we're looking for

The successful applicant will be expected to have a background of both manual and computerised payroll calculations and Microsoft Office products.  

Possession of a recognised qualification is desirable as is an understanding of voluntary/public sector pay policy and processes.
