Administrative.Assist with all administration relating to ‘end of year’; Update the HR procedure manuals as and when required; Produce salary upgrade letters upon receipt of the authorised requisition; Produce contractual changes as required; Action all paperwork relating to employees who are leaving the Company; Produce and maintain control sheets for new employees and leavers; Produce employment references for ex-employees ensuring that the information provided is accurate
Resourcing.Assist in the management of all areas of permanent recruitment including advertising, production of job and person specifications, production of competency questions and manager liaison; Assist with telephone calls from potential employees, on-line applications, despatching of application forms, arranging tests / interviews; Update and maintain both external and internal vacancies including the preparation of job overviews and review of job specifications as and when vacancies arise; Conduct competency based interviews for roles up to Grade 9, liaising with the department prior to the interview to agree the competencies and questions; Preparation of employment contracts, welcome letters, payment of advertising / placement invoices, issuing of reference requests and carrying out first day inductions; Provide a weekly recruitment update to our preferred agencies (in the absence of the Human Resources Co-ordinator); Produce a weekly recruitment update for the Finance Director and Head of Human Resources
Employment Law & Communications.Understand current and pending employment law; Provide advice to line managers regarding all aspects of employment law to ensure best practice is adhered to at all times within the Company; Be a point of contact for all employees to provide advice as appropriate; Conduct exit interviews for employees and issue copies of the notes to the appropriate Director and update the relevant areas
Learning and Development.Co-ordinate the administration of each course date and assist with the presentation of the Company Overview and HR section of the Induction Day; Source the standard Customer Service courses and manage all the associated administration; Maintain an accurate record of all training within the Company
Who we're looking for
- Must have previously worked in a Human Resources Department or other recruitment-oriented environment and have good basic knowledge of main Human Resources
- Educated to minimum. GCSE level
- Ideally, to be working towards CPP/CIPD qualifications.
- Smart, professional appearance and demeanour.
- Confident personality, proactive and pragmatic “can-do” approach to work and tasks.
- Ability to work with employees/colleagues at all levels.
- Must be diplomatic and confidential.
