Corporate Credit Manager

Main Duties:
Working with a defined portfolio of customer connections, acting as the conduit to Credit for sanctioning purposes·
Develop practical and appropriate credit solutions (or Lending structures) through understanding customer needs·
Deliver high quality and consistent, credit applications, making recommendations·
Act as a dedicated source of knowledge to other areas of the Bank on areas of special·
Monitor and control nominated accounts within designated portfolios·
Maintain integrity of credit systems data and update financial information·
Assess a customers business, through the analysis of Business and Credit risks associated with the provision of the Bank’s products and services to the customer·
Provision of information on a customers business via research using various sources e.g. trade journals / brokers reports / Internet / Bloomberg and rating agencies·
Be the joint contact for credit management purposes for accountants, solicitors and other professionals·
Preparation of Lending Advisor/International Credit Advisor applications/credit and/or reliance papers with paper attachments for recommendations to the Sanctioner by /on behalf of the Relationship Point·
Liaise directly with the sanctioning office for all credits that are outside the Relationship Point’s personal discretion·
Prepare non standard facility letters and co-ordinate execution of documentation and draw down of facilities·
Responsible for managing financial information produced by customers Ensuring optimal use of complex financial modelling and grading tools.·
Monitor and Control quality of portfolio using ‘Condition of Sanction’ triggers where possible and in accordance with guidelines and policy – Discussing with Sanctioner trigger events if they give cause for concern, advising the Relationship Point simultaneously·
Work in partnership with Relationship Points on new and existing credit applications, providing guidance on credit appetite and consulting with Specialist Credit team as appropriate·
Deliver service in line with agreed value contracts·
Work in partnership with sales team colleagues and proactively anticipate, respond to and seek to exceed the expectations of customers·
Attend customer meetings with the Relationship Point if credit related issues are to be discussed/need to be resolved·
Proactively contribute to embedding agreed change management initiatives in support of process and quality improvements, cost reductions and development of credit people·
Develop and maintain a close working relationship with sales team colleagues and Specialist Lending Teams·
Support the Head of Risk Control Unit in identifying training and development needs of the team and assisting with support as appropriate·
Support the Head of Risk Control Unit in delivering effective performance development for individuals within the team
Who we're looking for
Successful candidate will have very strong analytical, numerical and communication skills. Previous experience of Credit Analysis is preferred but strong negotiation and inter-personal skills are essential.
