- Ensure the timely payment of all suppliers – using appropriate technology to improve efficiency of processing
- Ensure the accurate recording of financial transactions
- Ensure adherence to all financial/internal controls
- Ensure all VAT and other taxes recorded and dealt with accurately and fully supportable
- Plan and organise workloads for the team
- Coach and plan to develop the skills of the team
- Set targets and monitor performance of the team
- Look for ways to improve processes and systems and strive to introduce best practice
- To Process payment runs 3 times a month and adhere to tight deadlines
- To reconcile the account on a monthly basis
- To ensure statements are reconciles according to Audit requirements
- To oversee all expense, floats and currency transactions.
- To ensure CIS returns are completed within the allowed timescale to avoid penalty fees
- To ensure monthly KPI’s are reviewed on a monthly basis
Who we're looking for
- Experience of working in a busy Accounts Payable dept. or similar
- Experience of working in a high transaction volume environment
- Good interpersonal skills – ability to communicate at all levels
- Excellent people management skills and ability to motivate a team
- Good IT skills
- Ability to analyze and solve problems
- Strong communication skills
- Reliable under pressure and able to cope with conflicting demand
