Description:
- Pricing Strategy: Participates in pricing strategy setting and aligns pricing strategies with the overall business unit strategy. Develops pricing strategy and recommendations for new and existing products throughout the life cycle of products globally
- Pricing and Discounting Programs: Initiates and manages the programs in alliance with Sales and Finance teams.
- Competitive Intelligence: Gathers market intelligence and conducts competitive benchmarking to enable key pricing and discounting decisions.
- Communications: Presents pricing strategy, recommendations and results.
- Drafts pricing announcements and various communications to distributors and other customers. Pricing Excellence: Promotes global pricing excellence within sales, marketing, product management and finance teams.
- Facilitates pricing best practice sharing. Identifies opportunities for strategic analysis and develops the necessary analytical reports to help guide pricing decisions.
- Performs pricing analysis, publishes price realization, profitability, discounting and other dashboards. Drives various pricing analytical projects such as competitive product, market assessments, global discounting reports, etc.
- Process Management: Manages adherence to pricing policies and strategies;
- Financial: Aligns external customer requirements, sales objectives, and corporate goals.
- Process Improvement: Represents Pricing on cross-functional projects.
- Develops and executes pricing processes and guidelines. Identifies, drives and manages pricing process and system improvements.
- Pricing Information Management & Systems: Supports the design and integration of IT and financial systems related to the management of pricing information. Understands pricing and other related system architecture. Updates pricing information in various systems as necessary.
- People: Coaches and motivates others; provides guidance and direction on problems and issues
Profile:
- Expert in strategic pricing methodologies, segmentation and other quantitative and qualitative techniques
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills- demonstrated ability to analyze, assess and synthesize complex information
- Ability to work in and lead cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication skills with ability to convey a message and build consensus internally and externally to multiple levels of management and customers
- Customer focused
Process improvement or Six Sigma experience. Certification is preferred
