Treasury Assistant

Newcastle-upon-Tyne • Permanent • £20000 - £21000

Description:

The role involves; 

  • Recording and posting of treasury based accounting entries
  • Bank reconciliation process
  • Cash flow forecasting
  • Payment processing
  • Assistance with debt management
  • Assistance with the management of group cash balances
  • Assistance with management of bank facilities, mandates and internet banking
  • Assistance with the management of group inter company loan balances
  • Daily internal reporting
 

Profile:

  • Part qualified accountancy qualification desirable but not essential (e.g. CIMA, ACCA)
  • Prior experience in treasury
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to produce and manipulate spreadsheets using MS Excel to an intermediate level
  • Experience using a general ledger system
  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines
  • Confident communicator at all levels (both orally and written) with internal and external customers / contacts
