Decision Support Analyst

The role will involve the following duties:

•  Support delivery of financial analysis and insight that informs decision-making and drives ongoing value enhancement including IFRS, EVOP and Capital
• Support the production of and analysis of projected key financial metrics including IFRS, AUA and EVOP.
• Forecasting on a rolling monthly basis incorporating UK business wide opportunities and threats
• Producing the UK Strategic, Business and Operational Plan, financial budgets and forecasts
• Support the development of analysis and insight to improve awareness of the current and projected relative profitability of different products, channels and back-book v future business
• Improve awareness of how the brand makes money, our IFRS profit measure and levers to drive improved performance across the UK business
• Help the business to understand the impact of initiatives on the business plan and to recognise opportunities and threats from the business plan.

The successful candidate will be:

• A Part Qualified Accountant or Actuarial trainee
• A Financial Services or Big Four Back ground would be advantageous
• Excellent analytical skills is essential
• Advanced Excel is essential
• Knowledge of IFRS is very desirable
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

6 month fixed term contract paying upto £30,000 with an excellent benefit package based in Edinburgh city centre.
