A reputable legal firm in Bournemouth.
Description:
This position reports into the Accounts Manager. Duties include:-
- Preparation and delivery of client invoices for costs disbursements and VAT (approx 300+ weekly).
- Chasing outstanding payments via telephone, email or letter.
- Reconciling client accounts before fund are allocated .
- Allocation of BACS/Cheque payments to the clients account.
- Preparing BACS/CHAP payments for invoices/client payments.
- Client enquiries relating to invoices and progression of cases.
- Updating new client details on database.
- Allocation of new files, management of capacity and compliance with service level agreements.
- Diary management for compliance with Court directions and procedural aspects of ongoing cases.
- Registration and maintenance of all claims with the DWP compensation recovery unit.
- Requesting and providing payment for medical, personnel, DWP and fitness records.
- Booking and hosting of Counsel drafting and conference days including video conferencing, diary management and travel arrangements.
- Liaising with Courts, claimants solicitors and medical / engineering experts to assist with the smooth progression of cases.
Profile:
The successful candidate will have the following attributes:-
- Legal cashiering background.
- ILFM qualified/QBE.
- Technically sound.
- Strong attention to detail.
