Management Accountant

The Management accountant is responsible for the provision of information to all departments (especially production and sales) on a timely basis to aid decision making. The person is also responsible for management of the inventory system and cost of sales reporting up to and including monthly reporting and reconciliation. As a member of the finance team the person work very closely with other team members and provide cover where necessary.

• Management information, especially within the sales and production departments e.g KPI's
• Product costing. All product costing to be the responsibility of the management accountant. Updates of routes & structures (jointly with the business Analyst).
• Stock system reconciliation. Overseeing stock transaction and management of the system. Reconciliation and balancing at period cut-off points.
• Monthly accounts - calculation of costs of sales and stock reconciliation
• Raw material analysis
• Stock takes - central role in the stock take process and reconciliation to the ledgers.
• This is a European business- requires flexibility to support existing and new facilities throughout Europe )may require travel)
• Ad hoc analysis and provision of information as requires by site management.
• Deputizing the European Financial controller as and when required
• Budget responsibility for sales and cost of sales jointly with the business analyst
• Working with auditor and site management to ensure accuracy and compliance of financial statements
• Reconciliation of the balance sheet control accounts involved in the above work.
• Capital expenditure appraisal analysis and preparation of projects for authorisation.
• Analysis of financial information such as product margins, profitability, efficiency etc. for the financial management of the company. Working with other departments to aid the improvement process e.g C.I projects

We are looking for a part-qualified candidate preferably at the second stage of their CIMA studies

This candidate should have GCSE Maths and English and education to A level standard (or the equivalent qualifications to this level)

 It is essential this candidate is a team player and has previous Management Accountant experience.

Where specific UK qualifications are required we will take into account overseas equivalents.
