Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be supporting the day to day finance function by providing advice to academies and Head Office.
This would include providing training, guidance and support to academies regarding financial issues, including budget monitoring, accounts preparation, VAT returns, monthly close and establishing financial systems and procedures.
In addition, you will also be supporting finance functions within Head Office associated with the academies.
Profile:
The successful candidate will be at least a Part Qualified Accountant who is ideally familiar with the finance work of charities and/or education institutions.
It is essential that you have good planning skills and are able to demonstrate providing proactive financial advice and support to non finance staff. An ability to liaise and assist stakeholders at both senior and junior levels is imperative.
Travel to academies around England is needed, so only those prepared to do this will be considered.
Where specific UK qualifications are required we will take into account overseas equivalents.
