My client is one of the worlds largest private sector providers of 'welfare to work' services which assists unemployed people into lasting employment.
Description:
This role will see you undertake thorough and engaging assessment with every job seeker at their first appointment to identify targeted actions for each individual which will be accompanied by job-search activities.
You will attempt to identify any barriers to employment and will ensure that all clients who stay on this module are actively engaged.
Although this is the over-arching explanation of your role, the day to day duties will include:
- Support the job seekers in the completion of an assessment, designed to assess confidence and motivation levels
- Working with external parties to asses suitability for employment such as Health Professionals for a health assessment.
- Advising on Job search techniques and interview preparation
- Ensuring that the appropriate job searching activity begins as soon as possible after commencing the programme
- Build immediate rapport with all job-seekers
- Assist Job Seekers to produce their own clear, work-focused action plan.
- Illicit key information about each Job Seeker in order to progress them towards the appropriate interventions to facilitate them progressing in to work.
- Allocating both initial job readiness status and triaging clients into following appropriate stream of provision
- Conduct mock interviews for job ready clients
- Ensure clients are aware of their rights and responsibilities
- Ensure all documentation relating to the client is completed and maintained in an accurate, timely and respectful manner
Profile:
This role will be best suited to those candidates who are able to work in a targeted environment to tight deadlines but also those candidates who will take a great satisfaction from investing time and resources into long term goal.
A background in Recruitment and a desire to move into a more HR oriented role would be suited to this position acknowledge of employment law, job search techniques, CV writing and interview advice is an advantage.
