Description:
The role as Assistant Financial Accountant will be responsible for:
Provide input for financial reporting in a timely and accurate manner and talking specific responsibility for Fixed Asset accounting across all European affiliates, with a view to ensure compliance with Hasbro Capital Expenditure policy, US GAAP for corporate reporting and local GAP for statutory reporting.
Duties will include:
- Post journal entries
- Book royalty income and payments as advised by CRD
- Prepare accounts analysis for GL balances under responsibility, as advised by Financial Accounting Supervisor or Financial Accountant to ensure appropriate valuation.
- Prepare accounts reconciliations for all clearing other and prepayment accounts to ensure that accounts used are regularly reviewed and cleared.
Month-end closing process:
- Revaluation of monthly AP and AR balances in foreign currencies;
- review of Monthly ICO reconciliations. Responsible for ensuring that all inter-company balances are agreed;
- HUB accounts confirmation process where used and calculation of HUB accounts interest;
- Assist with the preparation of the monthly, quarterly & year-end reporting schedules, as advised by the Financial Accountant.
Profile:
Please only apply if you have the following:
- A-level Maths or European equivalent
- ACCA/CIMA studier
- Previous experience within a finance function, preferably in a Financial Accounting role.
- Knowledge and exposure to maintenance to Fixed Assets
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Where specific UK qualifications are required we will take into account overseas equivalents.
