Description:
The role is Assistant Management Accountant and will entail assisting the current 3 permanent staff in the Management Accounting team. The Company is progressive and has ambitious growth plans. Self-development is encouraged and my client will support training towards professional qualifications. As such we are ideally looking for candidates who are motivated and wish to progress in their work. However, candidates should appreciate that some of the work is quite 'low-level' such as cashiering and preparing invoices but there is scope for extending this into other more interesting areas at a later date, depending on ability and willingness. Duties will include:
- Production of monthly management accounting information for allocated Group companies in line with departmental and Group deadlines
- Prepare and amend accounting entries to ledgers
- Review trial balances and individual accounts for relevance and accuracy
- Perform B/S reconciliations as required to manage B/S positions
- Participate in the production and submission of the Group accounting entries using group systems (inc HFM and Essbase)
- Supervise Petty Cash accounting and cashiering for company.
- Produce bank and petty cash reconciliations for overseas entities
- Assist with production of monthly divisional reporting
- Produce monthly Treasury analysis and report for Group Treasury
- Prepare monthly CEO report for Group Board pack
Profile:
Experience from a large company environment where you have worked to strict monthly, quarterly and annual reporting deadlines is essential. Ideally you will have worked previously for a large insurance broker.
You will have experience in: processing journals, cashiering, prepayments and accruals, balance sheet recs.
You will be studying for AAT at the latter stages of CIMA/ACCA early stages. Anybody part qualified or above will not be considered for this role.
Where specific UK qualifications are required we will take into account overseas equivalents.
