My client is an international business with a site in Northampton.
Description:
The role of Purchase Ledger Accountant will include:
- Processing of invoices on the purchase ledger, including matching to goods received notes.
- Review of GR / IR account to keep only suitable balances outstanding.
- Ensuring invoices have the correct authorisation, liaising with those ordering goods / services.
- Processing payments runs on a regular basis, ensuring correct authorisation, and referring to agreed payment terms or alternate internal instructions.
- Control over authorising changes to purchase ledger master data.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and assist in supplier query resolution.
- Reconcile purchase ledger to supplier statements.
- Provide cover for Purchase Ledger / Accounts Assistant during absences.
- Month end close procedures including reconciling purchase ledger to general ledger.
Profile:
The ideal candidate for the role in Northampton will:
- have worked in a similar Purchase Ledger role
- be willing to travel to another site twice a week (travel expenses reimbursed)
Where specific UK qualifications are required we will take into account overseas equivalents.
