My client is a public sector organisation based in Birmingham city centre
Description:
As Accountant, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the financial systems and monthly accounts, reporting tot he Finance Director. Duties will include:
- Supervision of 3 transactional staff
- Daily cashflow management
- Assisting with internal and external audits
- Managing budgetary controls and investigating variances and discrepancies
- Calculating inter-company charges
- Managing fixed asset files
- Ad hoc financial reporting
Profile:
The successful candidate will have had exposure to a similar role in a finance environment. They will have excellent communication skills and be able to explain procedures to non financial staff.
They will be organised, accurate and able to think beyond a process.
Where specific UK qualifications are required we will take into account overseas equivalents.
