Overhead Accountant 3 month Contract

We are looking for an Overhead Accountant to join our Finance Team in Salford, Manchester working within a business shared services environment. Role: The Overhead Accountant is responsible for providing accounting services for actuals, forecast and budget for all areas of responsibility, working with segment finance and budget holders to deliver robust accounts, challenging where necessary. Responsibilities:

• Overhead accounting services for areas of responsibility, providing accurate, robust and timely management accounts on a monthly basis.
• Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders within segment, regularly reviewing to aid understanding of business areas.
• Completing forecast and budgets, providing key performance information and commentary.
• Balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring compliance with audit
• Work closely with Overhead Accounting Manager to deliver process improvement, exception reporting and analysis.
• Extensive Balance sheet reconciliation.  

• Part Qualified Accountant (foundation stage completed as a minimum).
• Must have worked with double entry accounting.
• Proven record of working with key stakeholders to develop successful relationships.
• Balance sheet reconciliation.
• Excellent problem solving abilities.
• SAP skills.

You should already be operating at this level to be considered. Stakeholder management and relationship building are key to your success in this role.
