Assistant Department Manager

Bristol • Permanent • £22000 - £23000

 

About our client:

My client is a charitable organisation located in Bristol. They are experiencing growth in their head office due to a successful campaign.

Description:

The role will provide a quality service by providing effective financial administration for a variety of accounts functions including contracts and projects, payroll and stock.Assist with the day to day management of the department and organising workloads for the team 

Day to day duties:

Ensure payrolls for monthly and weekly staff are carried out in accordance with agreed procedures and carry out any analysis required before posting to the nominal ledger.

Process all payroll related payments to employees, pension companies, Inland Revenue and other related agencies and carry out reconciliations on control accounts.

Assist with year end processing and filing of Year End payroll and pensions.

Maintain records for P11D in accordance with the dispensation requirements by analysing employee expenses.

 

Profile:

You will need to have a significant financial experience, including an excellent working knowledge of sales and purchase ledgers, VAT, bank reconciliations and payroll Supervision / line management of staff

 

You will need to be  AAT Intermediate and have a  good standard of education, at least grade 'C' or above in English and Mathematics at GCSE level

Where specific UK qualifications are required we will take into account overseas equivalents.
