About our client:
My client, based in Huntingdon, are a specialist importer and distributor of goods. Due to an internal restructure they now require an Assistant Accountant to work closely with the Financial Controller.
Description:
As an Assistant Accountant your role will be to bridge the gap between ledger level and the Financial Controller. The Assistant Accountant will be moving in to a role offering variety and constant challenge. As part of your position you will be required to perform the following tasks:
- Assistance with management and year end accounts production
- Assistance with the budget and forecast
- Accruals and prepayments
- Bank reconciliation
- Balance sheet reconciliation
- Overhead analysis
- VAT, Intrastat, EC Sales
- Various project work
Profile:
We are looking for a loyal and committed individual who wishes to add value to a business and increase their ability and working knowledge of a full accounts function. With a history gained as an Accounts Assistant you will be looking to make the step up in to a full Accountant position. You will ideally be studying towards your professional qualifications (ACCA/CIMA) or at least posess the AAT qualification. Your Excel skills will be at least intermediate and you will enjoy liasing with all areas of the Business.
Where specific UK qualifications are required we will take into account overseas equivalents.
