Here at Thame, Oxfordshire, we are the sales and marketing headquarters of DAF Trucks for the UK. Due to an internal promotion we are now seeking a Management Accountant to join our Finance Team. This is an ideal development opportunity to progress a career with a leading manufacturer in the commercial vehicle industry. The key responsibility of the role is the analysis and reporting of vehicle order volumes and margins. This includes weekly and monthly reporting activities, systems management, maintenance and reconciliations. The role also predominantly includes:
- Completion of month end activities and analysis of variances
- Weekly management margin reporting
- Margin forecasts and budgeting for the UK and Ireland
- Maintenance of the Order Management System (OMS)
- Month end reconciliations
- Review and approval of invoices and credits
- Sales audit review management
- Sarbanes Oxley / ICAP process management
Profile:
Ideal applicants will have the following profile:
- Studying a recognised accountancy qualification (CIMA or ACCA)
- Proven commercial accounting experience
- Strong numeric ability
- Excellent IT skills including Excel and Word
- Excellent communication skills and experience of working within a team
- A high degree of self-motivation, organisation and planning skills
- The proven ability to work to strict deadlines
