Description:
The role of Statutory Reporting Analyst will encompass many responsibilities, including:
- Maintain complete and accurate accounting records for the Treasury business
- Maintain effective controls over the accounting records for Treasury, including financial reconciliations where appropriate.
- Provide guidance and advice to the business as necessary, on aspects of accounting controls, reconciliation processes and policies
- Provide timely and accurate financial information, playing a key role in the delivery of periodic, statutory and regulatory results reporting to agreed deadlines
- Build and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Participate in projects and special investigations as appropriate, making effective recommendations and implementing solutions
- Keep up to date with changes in the accounting standards where appropriate and best practice in accounting for banks
- Support the team’s continuous improvement program by recommending, developing and implementing new tools and techniques to increase capability, accuracy, efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
Profile:
The successful candidate will have/be:
- A part qualified accountant (or equivalent)
- Statutory Accounting experience
- From a commercial banking environment
- Had experience in Treasury Finance
- A knowledge of financial products such as derivatives is essential
- Willing to thrive in a dynamic progressive culture
