Description:
Located in the heart of Hammersmith within the commercial finance team at HarperCollins the role of Commercial Analyst will include the following tasks:
- Assisting the Commercial Manager in budget setting and forecasting as directed
- Ensuring that the timing and phasing of future releases are accurately reflected in the budget and forecast
- Liaising with all areas of the business to gain relevant information to help compile budget and forecasts (eg: Sales and Production)
- Assisting the Commercial Manager with the preparation of title acquisition financial projections
- Attending acquisition meetings as required
- Compiling acquisition packs
- Reviewing and reporting on the performance of previously published titles
- Compiling and investigating variance analysis on royalty earnings, plant, royalty advance write-offs and overheads
- Assisting the Commercial Manager on an Adhoc basis with general financial reviews of genres within the division
Profile:
Desirable candidates MUST:
- Be educated to at least degree level - ideally 2:1 and above (essential)
- Be actively studying towards a professional qualification - ACCA/CIMA (essential)
- Have excellent interpersonal communication skills (essential)
- Be a proficient user of MS Excel (essential)
- Be analytically minded and keen to build a career alongside their studies (essential)
- Have previous exposure to Hyperion (desirable)
Where specific UK qualifications are required we will take into account overseas equivalents.
